How To Use Peerblock For Mac
Used solid state drive for 2013 27 mac. Click to expand.Make no mistake, any involvement in online piracy is illegal in the USA. Downloading or uploading makes no difference. Just like selling drugs is illegal, so is buying them. A woman's grandson got caught downloading a couple songs from limewire on her machine. Cost the grandma hundreds of thousands of dollars. And that's for a couple songs. If you have ever downloaded an mp3 without paying for it, whether it be on Napster, Limewire, Morpheus, or any other P2P client, you are an internet pirate.
Edit: My bad guys. I did a search on google for Peer Guardian to research it and hit this. Didn't mean to dig up a thread from 2006. I'm not saying it's a bad or good thing, but the law is very clear. You will be prosecuted if caught.
Everyone has been naughty by downloading an mp3. They know the vast majority of us computer savvy people have done it at least once.
PeerBlock is an open source IP filtering application partially based on the PeerGuardian code. It is designed to prevent your computer from making undesirable connections, such as to machines flagged for anti p2p activities, corporations, governments, etc.
Catching you is the hard part. You misunderstand! I am not advocating the RIAA! I was trying to help by pointing out that the whole 'Just download, don't upload' myth to help out fellow pirates. I know of a lot of people who believe this myth and don't take the necessary precautions torrenters/leeches should take. They just download willy nilly and don't seed, thinking this is some kind of loophole in the system. I laugh at the RIAA and their attempts to restrict digital freedom.
The cat's out of the bag and they will never get it back. Sorry if I came off 'mightier than thou,' it wasn't my intent. I am sorry for bringing up an almost dead thread, but I did the same thing as 'julio'. I googled peer guardian for mac and this came up but I need help.
Peerblock Free
So I am currently using my college's internet. I would like to download stuff but the school puts a restriction after so many gigs downloaded ( I think 10).

I know that PeerGuardian doesn't block that you're downloading, but does it hide that you're downloading (hypothetically) pirated software, movies, games, etc? My friend tried to tell me that (Peerblocker) masks what you're doing - it just looks like you're using some bandwith.
